The 12-port Online 10Base-T Security Module (Model 5112-TPLS, $1995) provides two levels of protection for your UTP Ethernet network. The Chipcom (Southborough, MA) module prevents unauthorized listening and keeps unauthorized users from accessing the network and transmitting information. Network managers can assign as many as four authorized addresses per port; the Security Module can automatically learn the authorized addresses.
