The Targa 2000 (from $5995) lets you display a Video-in-a-Window image while outputting video in NTSC or PAL format. From Truevision (Indianapolis, IN), the Targa 2000 is based on the company's DVR architecture, which features a set of logical components that encode, decode, process, and store digi-tal video. The digital video card supports displays of up to 1152- by 870-pixel resolution at 24 bits per pixel and lets you capture full-frame, full-motion images with CD-quality audio. You can also marquee a portion of the desktop or resize the entire desktop prior to recording the selected area on video.
