Jerry Pournelle has the market on orchids cornered, so I suppose I will have to settle for awarding a carnation to BYTE for the Honorable Mentions and Dubious Achievements page that has been appearing in the Lab Reports lately. I hope that by showcasing excellence and stupidity in product design, manufacturers will be encouraged to strive for the former and eliminate the latter.
