PenDirect for Windows ($298) is a desktop conferencing system that lets individuals in different locations simultaneously communicate with one another by using direct, on-screen input. From FTG Data Systems (Stanton, CA), PenDirect uses the company's light pen and Future Labs' TalkShow Duo desktop point-to-point conferencing software. Participants can interactively review any document, schematic, spreadsheet, CAD design, or bit-mapped picture in real time. Each user's comments are color-coded.
