From Frontline Test Equipment (Oak Brook, IL), Ethertest runs on most 386-based PC-compatible desktops or notebooks, has a mouse-driven interface, and comes with an on-line tutor and a troubleshooting guide. You can choose from among three network adapters: a PCMCIA interface, a parallel-port device supporting standard and enhanced parallel ports, or an ISA-compatible half-slot card.
