A power-control device that can be daisy-chained to provide up to 156 individually controllable outlets, the Pow-R-Bar ($149.95) connects to your PC via the serial port. From International Micro Electronics Group (Lexington, KY), the devices (up to 26 Pow-R-Bars) can be up to 50 feet apart, and greater distances are possible when you use them with short-haul or phone-line modems.
