The LaserJet 5P and 5MP printers include an infrared port for wireless printing from portable PCs and PDAs. The devices offer 6-ppm print speeds, flexible paper-handling capabilities, 600- by 600-dpi output, expandability, and font management software. The LaserJet 5P and 5MP printers also come with SIMM slots that you can use for additional memory, other printer languages, and customizing options. The LaserJet 5P ($1109) is expandable to 50 MB, and the LaserJet 5MP ($1299) is expandable to 35 MB.
