The Mirage CD Emulator can emulate quad-speed CD-ROM mechanisms, including the Sega Saturn, Atari Jaguar, and Sony Playstation. It replaces a small module inside the unit and downloads a new file to upgrade the flash memory. The system features a Hitachi SH2 processor, a backlit LCD display panel, a 1-GB SCSI hard disk, and the ability to burn writeable CDs. The system is aimed at software developers in the leisure industry.
