APE's MPEG PFW 400 is a dedicated real-time video-compression workstation. Based on a Pentium 90-MHz tower, the PFW 400 workstation includes an MPEG encoder board, two RISC processors, and an MPEG playback board. The bundled PC-Scope software offers calibration of video-in, chroma, and video levels. With an additional CD recorder, you can upgrade the system to a CD-mastering station.
