Sydat's AutoDot 100 system gives fast and accurate measurements of the minuscule ink drops shot by the heads of ink-jet printers. The system measures drop speed, 3-D direction of drop movement, tail length, drop volume, satellite drops, and other parameters. According to the vendor, it deploys image-analysis techniques and is suitable for laboratory use, on-line testing, and live monitoring of drop behavior.
Price: Starts at US $35,000.
