/ Color Flatbed Scanner
Spot Technology's FotoTak 24-bit, three-pass color flatbed scanner is based on an 800- by 400-dpi optical scanning engine. You can raise the resolution to 1600 by 1600 dpi on the fly. Bundled software includes the ImagePals Go image editor and Perceive Personal for OCR. The package includes a TWAIN module, a signal cable, and an interface
card. Instead of having a dedicated power supply, FotoTak, which consumes 12 W when in operation, borrows power from your PC. The unit also has an automatic sleep mode.
Price: US$229.
