Version 5 of Unibol36 enables IBM System/36 users to move to open systems. The package offers date support for the year 2000; networked printing; links to Oracle, Sybase, Informix, and Ingres; and ideographic data support for such languages as Japanese, Chinese, Taiwanese, and Korean. Version 5 of the software also includes WRK control commands for spool writers and job queues, library-deletion facilities, linked d
ata dictionaries via IDDU, an S/36-compatible catalog listing, and an LIBR member browser. The software includes an office-mail utility that allows for easy integration with all the common Unix mail packages.
