NAG's FORTRAN 90 Compiler release 2.2 compiles both free-format input and FORTRAN 77 fixed-format input forms. It processes code containing tab-format input and byte-size declarations, provides extensive error messages, and includes optional run-time checking of array bounds and pointer association. The software incorporates the High Performance FORTRAN language and features a support library in a single processor and sequential implementation. The company says that there a
re no binary incompatibilities with FORTRAN 90 release 2.1, a debugger interface is included, additional run-time testing facilities are built in, options can be set in an environment variable, and EMACS-compatible messages are produced.
