Shiva released version 5.0 of its SpiderIntegrator range of tariff management remote-access routers. They provide telecommuters and branch and satellite offices with secure access to the corporate LAN. This version offers features to cut WAN costs. One of them is a minimum call-duration timer that lets you configure the router to take full benefit of the minimum charge per call by ensuring that an ISDN call stays open for the specified-time minimum-charge period. The company has also introduced nine-way X.21 interface cards for its SpiderIntegrator Mezza.
