/ Component Solution for Information Retrieval
Excalibur has introduced RetrievalWare, which the company calls the first unified family of software components for building retrieval systems across multiple information types. The software integrates the company's pattern-based and semantic search technologies. It can retrieve text, images, signals, and voice from databases or other information stores. Its architecture supports real-time and retrospective searching, fingerprint and i
mage retrieval, and end-user systems for such applications as intelligence analysis and document imaging. The software supports IBM RS/6000, Sun Microsystems, Digital Open VMS, and Digital Equipment Unix Alpha servers.
