Genicom's 3914 and 3944 serial matrix printers for client/server applications integrate coax and twinax interfaces. The units allow an IBM host in SCS or DSC mode to access and use non-IBM ANSI X3.64 printer functions such as bar codes and oversize characters. The printers support a second host via automatic interface sw itching between IBM and parallel interfaces. Additionally, the 3944 system allows users to load two forms and switch between print jobs without reloading paper.
