E-Tech's V.34 modems come in mobile and rack-mountable versions. The C288MX fax/modem is a PC Card with a data speed of 28.8 and fax-transmission speed of 14.4. The R288MX is a 19-inch rack-mountable V.34 modem system that offers 16 simultaneous connections. It allows for hot swapping of pan els. Connections can be dial-up lines or two- or four-wire leased lines. Both modems employ MNP5 and V.42 data compression and error correction.
