May 1996 / International What's New Hardware / High-Speed RAID Storage Array

The el-Raid plus is a dual redundant and hot-swappable storage array that performs sustained reads of 17 MB per second. It operates at RAID levels 0 to 5. You can configure the system for up to four hosts or seven disk channels with 28 drives (maximum capacity of 120 gigabytes). It supports F/W and differential SCSI host connections with up to 512 MB of cache. The system brings a ded icated disk on-line in case of drive failure. The el-Raid connects to a wide range of hosts including DEC, Sun, IBM RS/6000, HP, Novell, and SGI without any host-resident software or drivers.
