With PC-Protect, users can access a PC only if they have the appropriate smart card. This access-control system fits into a 3-1/2-inch drive bay and offers secure access for as many as 20 users. The board includes a BIOS extension that protects against tampering and does not re quire additional driver software. The smart cards have an optional memory that allows for the protection of individual programs or files.
