ArticlesModem Adds Fax Capabilities to Your PCL Printer

June 1996 / International What's New Hardware / Modem Adds Fax Capabilities to Your PCL Printer

VarioFax, a 14.4- or 28.8-Kbps fax and data modem, receives faxes without your PC being switched on. It can turn any PCL-compatible or Deskjet printer into a plain-paper fax machine. The unit has two parallel printer ports to send incoming faxes directly to a printer without requiring the system resources of a PC. The 28.8 version can also be used as a fax server in a heterogeneous LAN.

Price: Starts at DM 399.
