Designed for mobile computers that are equipped with a Type II PC Card expansion slot, the PCMCIA LANmodem Card ($499) allows concurrent operation of a 10Base-T Ethernet LAN adapter with a V.34 fax modem. The 10Base-T Ethernet adapter is IEEE 802.3 compliant and supp orts speeds up to 10 Mbps. The modem supports data speeds up to 28.8 Kbps (with V.42bis compression) and fax speeds up to 14.4 Kbps.
