ArticlesNew Version of RAPID Visual Programming Tool

October 1996 / International What's New / New Version of RAPID Visual Programming Tool
Tania Hershman

Emultek's 32-bit RAPID 3.5 is the latest version of the company's tool that enables nonprogrammers to quickly create interactive simulations of systems ranging from cellular telephones to airplane cockpits. No knowledge of computer code is needed to create simulations. Just use the Object Editor to pick objects from a library that includes switches, dials, displays, buttons, and a host of other options. The Logic Editor then links the objects to create a working simulation.

Version 3.5 has several innovative features, including the capability to make the RAPID application you've created into a user-defined object, which can then be encapsulated in other simulations. If you want to develop train ing tools, it's easy to link RAPID simulat ions to multimedia applications built with all leading authoring tools. An Internet plug-in will be released shortly, Emultek says.
