ArticlesNow You Can Put PowerPoint Shows on the Internet

October 1996 / International What's New / Now You Can Put PowerPoint Shows on the Internet

PointPlus, from Net-Scene, enables PowerPoint users with no HTML skills to publish PowerPoint presentations on the Internet. Net-Scene's compression technology converts existing PowerPoint presentations, from bullet-point slides to presentations with sound, for on-line viewing. The PointPlus plug-in viewer lets you see the presentation within the Netscape Navigator or Chameleon Websurfer window. PointPlus is the first in a series of low-end and midrange Internet-based presentation tools for other graphics-authoring programs. You can download a free copy of PointPlus's viewer and sample presentations from the Net-Scene Web site. PointPlus requires Windows 95 or Windows NT 3.51 and PowerPoint 4.0 or higher. The plug-in works under Windows 3.1 or higher, Windows 95, and Windows NT 3.51.
