The PageOffice Color scanner, from Umax, is a compact stand-alone device that enables you to scan documents, faxes, photos, forms, business cards, and even checks. Targeted for the SOHO market, PageOffice Color is a 24-bit true-color scanner with 300-dpi resolution. It uses a parallel-port interface to connect to a desktop or notebook compu ter. PageOffice Color also comes with PageManager, a software suite that includes OCR, filing, and image-editing functions. It also enables you to send faxes and e-mail.
