/ Fast Ethernet Controller
Davicom offers a pair of Fast Ethernet chips that support 10- and 100-Mbps data rates and are designed for LAN adapters, shared/switch hubs, and other equipment. The DM9100 is a single-chip, 100Base-T, Fast Ethernet, media-access-control (MAC) unit that runs at 10 or 100 Mbps. It's pin-compatible with Digital Equipment's
DEC 21140A, and it comes in a 144-pin PQFP package. The DM9200 is a 100Base-TX PHY transceiver with on-board PLL clock-recovery and auto-negotiation functions.
