With Velocity 3D Windows (with 4 MB of memory, $199; with 8 MB, $299), you get a 64-bit 2-D acceleration engine, a 3-D rendering accelerator, and a Digital Video Engine delivered by the S3 ViRGE VX graphics-controller ASIC. The c ard delivers up to 16.7 million colors and resolutions up to 1600 by 1200 pixels with refresh rates up to 160 Hz.
