The Ascentia P series (starts at $4299) sports a 166-MHz Pentium with MMX technology, a 256-KB L2 cache, and 32 MB of EDO RAM (expandable to 80 MB). It also features a 10X CD-ROM drive, 3-1/2-inch removable floppy drive, 3-GB removable hard drive, and 12.1-inch VGA active-matrix screen. Other features: 16-bit stereo playback and record, and two Type II or one Type II and one Type III PC cards. Battery life with one lithium-ion battery pack is a claimed 3 hours.
