For those who think microfilm is a storage-and-retrieval method for musty libraries, Fuji introduces M Drive ($20,000), a PC-based microfilm system. You connect M Drive directly to a PC through a standard SCSI connection. It has the footprint of a traditional tower PC. M Drive scans 16mm microfilm for display on a PC or digitizes it for storage on a
CD-ROM, disk, or other format where you can view, edit, store, and print the data. The system runs on Windows 3.x or higher and is compatible with existing PCs and printers.
