ArticlesUntangle Your Intranet

September 1997 / What's New / Untangle Your Intranet

Inmagic and Lycos's Internet spidering technology is the basis for this intranet-indexing software. Spiders gather and index on-line documents, and this Windows NT spider ($995) automatically builds a catalog database that personnel can search using a standard Web browser. The Lycos Intranet Spider eliminates trial-and-err or searching by enabling users to preview multiple search results and has document management control for redistributing information in the intranet environment.
