Seagate's Backup Exec for Windows NT is backup software that, with its Intelligent Disaster Recovery module, provides recovery for your server after hardware failure. Backup Exec automates backup operations and can recover critical data in the event of a crash without reinstalling the OS. Fault-tolerant backup processing maintains backup integrity by rerouting jobs in the event of system, medium, or device error. Wi th support for Microsoft's COM architecture, Backup Exec can integrate with applications from third-party storage management vendors. The single-server edition costs $695, and the enterprise edition is $1395.
