Small Companies Snub Alpha

Most companies select x86-based hardware to run their Windows NT applications over Digital's Alpha CPU, especially companies that have less than 500 employees. Accord-ing to a recent survey of companies that now run Windows NT, which was conducted by BYTE's research department, almost 97 percent of those smaller companies don't have any systems powered by Alpha CPUs.
