/ Scanning Made Simple
Epson's Perfection 600 ($299) has a new driver designed to make scanning more foolproof. This 30-bit color flatbed scanner has 600 x 1200 optical resolution. The bundled SilverFast driver, from LaserSoft, adjusts highlight, shadow, midtone, brightness, contrast, hue, saturation, and color correction automatically.
The scanner also comes with Visioneer PaperPort, Adobe PhotoDeluxe, Xerox TextBridge, and Adobe PageMill for OCR, image editing, and publishing capabilities.
