Other World Computing has expanded its Mercury Extreme G4 AGP processor upgrade line with the addition of a 1.0 GHz model. The OWC Mercury G4 Extreme line is designed to be a plug and play solution to increase the performance of Apple PowerMac G4 models. The OWC Mercury Extreme G4 processor upgrades feature 256 KB of 1:1 L2 cache on-chip and 2 MB of high-speed SPD or DDR L3 Cache operating at up to 267 MHz. They are compatible with Apple PowerMac G4 AGP Graphics (Sawtooth), Gigabit Ethernet, Digital Audio and Quicksilver models and support Mac OS 9.2.1 and higher, as well as OS X and higher, including all 10.2.x versions.

ImageStream is now shipping its new entry-level router, called the TransPort. The TransPort is a low-profile router that includes a high-performance VIA C3 processor, 128 MB error-correcting memory, three 10/100 ethernet ports, and one expansion slot. The TransPort is designed for premise applications where wire-speed performance is required using one or two synchronous serial or T1/E1 ports. The TransPort also provides options for 802.11a/b/g wireless, ADSL, BRI, and 56K dial-up connections.<>
